- Kapitel 16 -

And I heard a great voyce out of the Temple, saying to the seuen Angels, Go your wayes, and powre out the seuen vials of the wrath of God vpon the earth.

And the first went and powred out his viall vpon the earth: and there fell a noysome, and a grieuous sore vpon the men, which had the marke of ye beast, and vpon them which worshipped his image.

And the second Angel powred out his viall vpon the sea, and it became as the blood of a dead man: and euery liuing thing dyed in the sea.

And the third Angel powred out his viall vpon the riuers and fountaines of waters, and they became blood.

And I heard the Angel of the waters say, Lord, thou art iust, Which art, and Which wast: and Holy, because thou hast iudged these things.

For they shed the blood of the Saints, and Prophets, and therefore hast thou giuen them blood to drinke: for they are worthy.

And I heard another out of the Sanctuarie say, Euen so, Lord God almightie, true and righteous are thy iudgements.

And the fourth Angel powred out his viall on the sunne, and it was giuen vnto him to torment men with heate of fire,

And men boyled in great heate, and blasphemed the Name of God, which hath power ouer these plagues, and they repented not, to giue him glorie.

And the fifth Angel powred out his viall vpon the throne of the beast, and his kingdome waxed darke, and they gnawed their tongues for sorowe,

And blasphemed the God of heauen for their paines, and for their sores, and repented not of their workes.

And the sixth Angel powred out his viall vpon the great riuer Euphrates, and the water thereof dried vp, that the way of the Kings of the East should be prepared.

And I sawe three vncleane spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of that dragon, and out of the mouth of that beast, and out of the mouth of that false prophet.

For they are the spirits of deuils, working miracles, to go vnto the Kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to gather them to the battell of that great day of God Almightie.

(Beholde, I come as a theefe. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, least hee walke naked, and men see his filthines)

And they gathered them together into a place called in Hebrewe Arma-gedon.

The Seventh Bowl of Wrath

And the seuenth Angel powred out his viall into the ayre: and there came a loude voyce out of the Temple of heauen from the throne, saying, It is done.

And there were voyces, and thundrings, and lightnings, and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were vpon the earth, euen so mightie an earthquake.

And the great citie was deuided into three partes, and the cities of the nations fell: and that great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to giue vnto her the cup of the wine of the fiercenesse of his wrath.

And euery yle fled away, and the mountaines were not found.

And there fell a great haile, like talents, out of heauen vpon the men, and men blasphemed God, because of the plague of the haile: for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Und ich hörte eine laute Stimme aus dem Tempel zu den sieben Engeln sagen: Gehet hin und gießet die sieben Schalen des Zornes Gottes aus auf die Erde!

Erste Schale: Abscheuliche Wunden

Da ging der erste hin und goß seine Schale aus auf die Erde. Und es kam ein verderbliches und sehr bösartiges Geschwür über die Menschen, welche das Malzeichen des Tieres hatten, und auf die, welche dessen Bild anbeteten.

Zweite Schale: Das Meer verwandelt sich in Blut

Und der zweite Engel goß seine Schale aus auf das Meer; da entstand Blut wie das eines Toten, und alles, was Leben hatte, starb im Meere.

Dritte Schale: Die Wasser verwandeln sich in Blut

Und der dritte Engel goß seine Schale aus auf die Flüsse und auf die Wasserquellen, und es ward Blut.

Da hörte ich den Engel der Gewässer sagen: Gerecht bist du, Herr! der da ist und war, du Heiliger, dass du solches Gericht geübt hast!

Denn das Blut der Heiligen und der Propheten haben sie vergossen, und Blut hast du ihnen zu trinken gegeben; ja sie haben es verdient.

Und ich hörte einen anderen Engel vom Altare her sagen: Ja, Herr, Gott, Allmächtiger! Wahrhaft und gerecht sind deine Gerichte.

Vierte Schale: Die Menschen sind verbrannt

Und der vierte Engel goß seine Schale aus auf die Sonne, und es ward ihr Macht gegeben, die Menschen durch Glut und durch Feuer zu peinigen;

und die Menschen wurden versengt von großer Hitze, und lästerten den Namen Gottes, der Gewalt hat über diese Plagen, und sie taten nicht Buße, dass die ihm die Ehre gaben.

Fünfte Schale: Dunkelheit und Schmerz

Und der fünfte Engel goß seine Schale aus auf den Thron des Tieres; und sein Reich ward verfinstert, und sie zerbissen ihre Zungen vor Schmerz,

und lästerten den Gott des Himmels wegen ihrer Schmerzen und ihrer Geschwüre, und taten nicht Buße über ihre Werke.

Sechste Schale: Der Euphrat vertrocknet

Und der sechste Engel goß seine Schale aus auf den großen Strom Euphrat; und es trocknete sein Wasser aus, damit den Königen vom Aufgang der Sonne her der Weg bereitet würde.

Und ich sah aus dem Maule des Drachen, und aus dem Maule des Tieres, und aus dem Munde des falschen Propheten drei unreine Geister wie Frösche hervorgehen.

Es sind nämlich Geister von Teufeln, die Zeichen tun und ausgehen zu den Königen der ganzen Erde, sie zu sammeln zum Kampfe auf den großen Tag des allmächtigen Gottes.

Siehe, ich komme wie ein Dieb. Selig, wer wachet und seine Kleider bewahrt, dass er nicht bloß wandeln müsse, und man seine Schande sehe!

Und er wird sie an dem Orte versammeln, der auf hebräisch Armagedon heißt.

Siebte Schale: Die Erde völlig erschüttert

Und der siebente Engel goß seine Schale aus in die Luft, und eine laute Stimme ging aus dem Tempel vom Throne her aus, die sprach: es ist geschehen!

Da kamen Blitze, und Rufe, und Donner, und ein großes Erdbeben entstand, wie niemals eines gewesen, seitdem Menschen auf Erden waren, ein so gewaltiges Erdbeben.

Und die große Stadt zerfiel in drei Teile; und die Städte der Völker fielen; und Babylon, des Großen, ward gedacht vor Gott, dass man ihm den Becher des Zornweines seines Grimmes reiche.

Und alle Inseln verschwanden, und Berge wurden nicht mehr gefunden.

Und ein großer Hagel. wie Zentnersteine fiel vom Himmel herab auf die Menschen; da lästerten die Menschen Gott wegen der Plage des Hagels, denn sie war überaus groß geworden.
