- Kapitel 35 -

1
And Moses assembles all the congregation of the sons of Israel and says to them, “These [are] the things which YHWH has commandedto do them:
2
[For] six days work is done, and on the seventh day there is a holy [day] for you, a Sabbath of rest to YHWH; any who does work in it is put to death;
3
you do not burn a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”

Offerings for the Tabernacle

(Exodus 25:1–9)
4
And Moses speaks to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, “This [is] the thing which YHWH has commanded, saying,
5
Take a raised-offering for YHWH from among you; everyone whose heart [is] willing brings it [as] the raised-offering of YHWH: gold, and silver, and bronze,
6
and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and linen, and goats’ [hair],
7
and rams’ skins made red, and tachashim skins, and shittim wood,
8
and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the spice-incense,
9
and shoham stones, and stones for settings, for an ephod, and for a breastplate.

The Skilled Craftsmen

10
And all the wise-hearted among you come in, and make all that YHWH has commanded:
11
the Dwelling Place, its tent, and its covering, its hooks, and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets,
12
the Ark and its poles, the propitiatory covering, and the veil of the covering,
13
the table and its poles, and all its vessels, and the Bread of the Presentation,
14
and the lampstand for the light, and its vessels, and its lamps, and the oil for the light,
15
and the altar of incense, and its poles, and the anointing oil, and the spice-incense, and the covering of the opening at the opening of the Dwelling Place,
16
the altar of burnt-offering and the bronze grate which it has, its poles, and all its vessels, the laver and its base,
17
the hangings of the court, its pillars, and their sockets, and the covering of the gate of the court,
18
the pins of the Dwelling Place, and the pins of the court, and their cords,
19
the colored garments, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons to act as priest in.”

The People Offer Gifts

20
And all the congregation of the sons of Israel go out from the presence of Moses,
21
and they come inevery man whom his heart has lifted up, and everyone whom his spirit has made willingthey have brought in the raised-offering of YHWH for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.
22
And they come inthe men with the women—every willing-hearted onethey have brought in nose-ring, and earring, and seal-ring, and necklace, all golden goods, even everyone who has waved a wave-offering of gold to YHWH.
23
And every man with whom has been found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and linen, and goats’ [hair], and rams’ skins made red, and tachashim skins, have brought [them] in;
24
everyone lifting up a raised-offering of silver and bronze has brought in the raised-offering of YHWH; and everyone with whom has been found shittim wood for any work of the service brought [it] in.
25
And every wise-hearted woman has spun with her hands, and they bring in yarnof the blue, and the purple, [and] the scarletand the linen;
26
and all the women whose heart has lifted them up in wisdom, have spun the goats’ [hair].
27
And the princes have brought in the shoham stones, and the stones for settings, for the ephod, and for the breastplate,
28
and the spices, and the oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the spice-incense;
29
every man and woman of the sons of Israel (whom their heart has made willing to bring in for all the work which YHWH commanded to be done by the hand of Moses) brought in a willing-offering to YHWH.

Bezalel and Oholiab

(Exodus 31:1–11)
30
And Moses says to the sons of Israel, “See, YHWH has called Bezaleel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, by name,
31
and He fills him [with] the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work,
32
even to devise inventions to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze,
33
and in a carving of stones for settings, and in a carving of wood to work in any work of design.
34
And He has put [it] in his heart to direct, he and Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan;
35
He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do every work, of engraver, and designer, and embroiderer (in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in linen), and weaver, who does any work, and of designers of designs.”

Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said to them, “These are the words which the LORD has commanded, that you should do them.
2
Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of solemn rest to the LORD: whoever does any work in it shall be put to death.
3
You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Sabbath day.’”

Offerings for the Tabernacle

(Exodus 25:1–9)

Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying,

Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as the LORD’s offering: gold, silver, bronze,
6
blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair,
7
rams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,
8
oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,
9
onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.

The Skilled Craftsmen

“‘Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that the LORD has commanded:
11
the tabernacle, its outer covering, its roof, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;
12
the ark, and its poles, the mercy seat, the veil of the screen;
13
the table with its poles and all its vessels, and the show bread;
14
the lamp stand also for the light, with its vessels, its lamps, and the oil for the light;
15
and the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle;
16
the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its vessels, the basin and its base;
17
the hangings of the court, its pillars, their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court;
18
the pins of the tabernacle, the pins of the court, and their cords;
19
the finely worked garments for ministering in the holy placethe holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sonsto minister in the priest’s office.’”

The People Offer Gifts

20
All the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.
21
They came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone whom his spirit made willing, and brought the LORD’s offering for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all of its service, and for the holy garments.
22
They came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to the LORD.
23
Everyone with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, and sea cow hides, brought them.
24
Everyone who offered an offering of silver and bronze brought the LORD’s offering; and everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.
25
All the women who were wise-hearted spun with their hands, and brought that which they had spun: the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.
26
All the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.
27
The rulers brought the onyx stones and the stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate;
28
with the spice and the oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.
29
The children of Israel brought a free will offering to the LORD; every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by Moses.

Bezalel and Oholiab

(Exodus 31:1–11)

Moses said to the children of Israel, “Behold, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
31
He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship;
32
and to make skillful works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,
33
in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of skillful workmanship.
34
He has put in his heart that he may teach, both he and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
35
He has filled them with wisdom of heart to work all kinds of workmanship, of the engraver, of the skillful workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of those who do any workmanship, and of those who make skillful works.
