- Kapitel 2 -

(Ezekiel 40:1–4)

I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

For I, saith the Lord , will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

The Redemption of Zion

(Hosea 3:1–5)

Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord : for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord .

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord .

And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

And the Lord shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the Lord : for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.(a)

Vision von der Messlinie

(Hesekiel 40,1-4)

Und ich erhob meine Augen und schaute: siehe, da war ein Mann, der hatte in seiner Hand eine Meßschnur.

Da sprach ich: Wohin gehst du? Er sprach zu mir: Jerusalem zu messen, um zu sehen, wie groß seine Breite und wie groß seine Länge ist.

Siehe, da schritt der Engel, der mit mir redete, vor und ein anderer Engel trat ihm entgegen.

Dieser sprach zu dem ersteren: Lauf, sprich zu dem Jüngling dort also: Ohne Mauern wird Jerusalem bewohnt werden vor der Menge von Menschen und Vieh in seiner Mitte.

Und ich selbst, spricht der Herr, will ihm ringsum zu einer feurigen Mauer sein und will mich in seiner Mitte herrlich erzeigen.

Zukünftige Freude für Zion und viele Völker

(Hosea 3,1-5)

Fliehet aus dem Lande gegen Mitternacht, spricht der Herr; denn in die vier Winde des Himmels habe ich euch zerstreut, spricht der Herr.

Ach, Sion! Fliehe, die du bei der Tochter Babylon wohnst;

denn so spricht der Herr der Heerscharen: In Ehre hat er mich an die Völker gesendet, welche euch beraubten; denn wer euch antastet, tastet meinen Augapfel an.

Denn sehet, ich hebe meine Hand wider sie auf und sie sollen denen zur Beute werden, die ihnen dienten; da werdet ihr erkennen, dass der Herr der Heerscharen mich gesandt hat.

Lobsinge und freue dich, Tochter Sion! Denn siehe, ich komme und werde in deiner Mitte wohnen, spricht der Herr.

Da werden sich an jenem Tage viele Völker an den Herrn anschließen und werden mir zum Volke sein und ich werde in deiner Mitte wohnen und du wirst erkennen, dass der Herr der Heerscharen mich zu dir gesandt hat.

Und der Herr wird Juda in Besitz nehmen als sein Erbe in geheiligten Lande und er wird Jerusalem wieder erwählen.

Still, alles Fleisch, vor dem Herrn! denn er hat sich aus seiner heiligen Wohnung erhoben.
